The Pioneer America Society (PAS) is a national non-profit organization dedicated to the preservation and study of sites that represent North American history and material culture. Organized in 1967 by Henry H. Douglas, a resident of Falls Church, Virginia, the Society documents and interprets architecture and artifacts in addition to encouraging education, research, and preservation. In 2014 the Society's board approved a new name change, and it is now known as the International Society for Landscape, Place, and Material Culture. Their website is available here.
