Bob Vay, University Archivist

Bob has been at Mason for nearly thirty-five years, both as a student and an employee. His main passion at work is to research and write about the history of the university, and is known to some as Mason’s unofficial university historian. Bob is George Mason University's first ever University Archivist.

Amanda Menjivar, Manuscripts and Archives Librarian


B.A. in English with a focus on British and American Literature from Southern Oregon University
MLS with a specialization in Archives and Digital Curation from the University of Maryland, College Park

Amanda's academic interests include the performing arts - particularly musical theatre of the 20th century - literature, film and pop culture studies, fashion history, and Tolkien studies.

Meghan Glasbrenner, Processing Manager


B.A. in English with a concentration in Theatre from Lebanon Valley College
M.A. in English specializing in 20th Century American Drama from Montclair State University
MSLIS specializing in Cultural Heritage Information Management from The Catholic University of America

Meghan joined SCRC in Fall 2022. Her academic interests include participatory archives, film studies, and theatrical adaptation and interpretation, particularly Shakespeare.

Shavonne Munnlyn, University Records Officer

Shavonne joined SCRC in Fall 2022. Her academic interests include records management education, the records continuum, and Baroque art history.

Mieko Palazzo, Research Services Coordinator

Mieko joined SCRC in December 2022. Her academic interests include archival ethics, participatory archives, archives instruction, and community outreach and engagement.

Clancy Smith, Records Management Specialist


B.A. in History with a minor in Legal Studies from the University of Southern Mississippi
M.Sc. in History from the University of Glasgow

Clancy was the Records Management Specialist of University Archives at the University of Southern Mississippi before moving to Virginia to start work at George Mason University in August 2023. She is passionate about books, history, music, travel, and her spoiled cats. Her academic interests include military history, European history, political science, preservation and archival studies, and records and information management.
